1500 jobs were lost because Hershey finds greener pastures in MEXICO! Those kisses you love are now part of the economic picture of Mexico, not America. Can we thank the government for their high taxes? Can we thank corporate greed? We can only suspect that Mexico had placed some enticements for Hershey to make this move.
Do you think Hershey is making this move because they like Mexican food? Do they prefer the water in Mexico? Do they like the law enforcement of Mexico? We know there is only one reason for their anti American move – that is to pocket MORE CASH!
The portion of Hershey moving to Mexico is considered to be 10% of their production. Can this only be a test for further outsourcing to Mexico? Over and over again, piece by piece, America is being sold out, sold down the river. When is enough, enough?
The spokesperson for Hershey gave little details other than “some plants will be expanded, others will downsize and some will close.” We need to face the facts that corporations are moving overseas and south of the border in order to do one thing – raise their profits. Remember the Taco Bell green onion incident involving E coli poisoning. Do we need to consider that similar poisonings might occur in a Hershey Kiss?
